As a side note, we choose to fly from Abuja to Lagos rather than take ground transport.  This article made the decision a no brainer!

We were booked in the National Sickle Cell Center Guest House and Conference Centre in Surulere at N12,500 per night.  Lonely Planet budget hotels in Lagos start at N15,000 - N20,000.   Our room was the upstairs, the last alcove you see on the right.
